Achievement:
4B+G+32-storied tower building with four basements requires 45 feet excavation for basement works. This is a slender building which has challenging task in foundation design. At the two side of the building, there are old 6-7 storied buildings on shallow foundation. The west edge of the excavated area is located just beside a heavy loaded traffic route. So, shore protection design requires very low lateral deformation and subsidence of surrounding area to ensure serviceability of existing buildings. There was a probable chance of shore failure for traffic load & excavation height as well. Considering all drawbacks, we designed whole shore protection system in a safe & economic manner. We designed foundation to take care of tensile forces induced in pile foundation under lateral loads. We checked structural design of the structure to comply with the BNBC- 2017
